Yea i dont remember what brand but i know it WAS 21 foot. Although it wasnt set up the best it worked damn good. It didnt have a wheel lift anymore it had been removed and welded solid as a rear bumper do to the fact it was on a Ferd F350 with a V10 and a 5 speed with granny low. I loved the pulling power that truck had. They are looking at grand theft on more then 8 cars trucks and other equipment.

Hopefully they can get him on that ****, but they won't be able to get him on the trucks that were signed over to him. WTF? This guy a meth head or something or was salvaging **** to pay the bills and keep the lights on?

Ye hes the same one that didnt pay the insurance to keep them legal and made almost 70 tows with no insurance so now the original bossman cant get any real tows now and just hauls junk for people and does some Coparts hauls.

I'm surprised he can even do Copart tows. Even they require a Million $ liability. Sounds like he may have lost either his Federal DOT # or his State DPS #. It's really weird in the tow biz. You know there is a difference in 1st tow and 2nd or more tows? Don't get me to lying, but I'm not positive on which is which without check for certain, but for example you can do 1st tows with Just a State DPS and NO Federal DOT is required. This means, pick up a broke down car off the hwy or at someone's house, or clean up a car accident and take it back to your impound yard. But now lets say the insurance company wants you to tow that cleaned up wreck that you took to your impound yard 2 days ago to a body shop. That's now a 2nd tow. Or the car you picked up off the hwy and took someone home, now they want it taken to a shop for repair. You now have to have a Federal DOT #. And this goes even if you weren't the first one to tow it. So let's say you work for an insurance company and they want you to go to an impound yard and take a vehicle to a body shop. That impound yard towed it FIRST tow. That means you can't tow it if you don't have the Federal DOT # since it's now a 2nd Tow. If ToeJoe towed a CrossCountry off the highway last night, and I was called up by the mechanics shop to go pick this car up at a residence and bring it to them for repair, then I better be asking, how did this car get here? Was it towed here or did it break down here? IF it was towed there and I don't have Federal DOT #, then I"m in violation of Federal DOT laws. TowJoe can probably verify that , and correct me if I have the DPS or DOT backwards, but it's weird **** nonetheless.

Maybe your bossman, has his truck leased on with Copart in away to make it legal for him to tow. Copart is hurting for drivers right now, cuz they cut pay AGAIN, and drivers are dropping off like flies. I hear Copart OKC is wanting to buy a 4 car hauler and lease on a driver from a company to drive it. That won't be me. I'm not working no ****** 4 car hauler. Sumbishes will wear you out climbing around like a damn monkey hooking up and ****.

I call 1-800- GMGIVESASHIT and got all that for free cuz I was still under the 36,000 mile warranty.

I remember in the early to mid 90s when GMC gave out the number 1-800-GM-TRUCK...Well, somehow it was also the number to 1-800-HOT-SUCK...Yeah, the GMC dealers had a lot of fun with that. :roflbow: :bowroflwerd6: It was then changed to something else.

I think if it were a Chevy it was actually 800-CHEV USA or USA CHEV. Each division had something different.

1 holmes 500 on a 84 k30 ugly ass bed but i love the dual winches and split booms that swing out
it was on a dodge but i took it off and its not mounted on the chevy yet just sitting on it

and my 85 flatbed 8' 6'' wide 10' foot long it has paid for itself 100 times over

i would be lost with out the flat bed and at least 1 wrecker

i really want a ramp truck and a roll off but have not found any for a good price

ya i want to update the bed but stay with the 80's chevy truck

but i only use my trucks to tow my own junk and my close friends junk so its hard to justify spending much cash on them basically all i do is keep them just running

i want to put my red holmes 440 on my white truck and redo the whole truck

my white 440 is beat to **** and worn out. i am wanting to stretch the red truck frame and build a ramp truck. using the front half of the white bed as the bulk head of the ramp truck. that way i can keep the pto winch. only using the front of the bed in front of the wheels

For those that never ran a old school Holmes 440 They were the king of equipment in the day. I'm wanting to build a old school 70's holmes truck. I have 2 holmes 440's in back lot and a 80 C30. maybe someday I'll get to it. I cut my teeth on a 74 C30 with a 440 throwing J's 20 years ago
