@Hugomartin Hine sight is 20/20 right. I'm not saying this to be a jerk, but if you did not know that the entire intake manifold has to come off before a head is pulled or that, it's really best to do whatever your doing to both heads (even if it's just a gasket), to prevent you from having to do the work a second time, then you'd serve yourself well to research a little better so you know what your getting into ahead of time. The cylinder head shape, and dowels will prevent it from coming off without entirely removing the manifold.
If you haven't drained the coolant, then you probably have a ton of it in the crankcase by now so be sure to change the oil, even if you have drained it still change the oil to be sure. You wouldn't want any debris from the job plugging up the pick up screen, or enough coolant in the crankcase to damage bearings.
