These are factory installed, they operate the barn door power locks. I'm not sure they would work for speakers, contact might not be good enough? For high output subs anyway.

How did you cut those angles so nice? The stacked 3/4" mdf is almost perfect. Ive gone thru a full sheet alraedy. Can you post some pics of that part of the build.

The pics I posted in the first post are pretty much the only pics I have of the "in progress portion" but they show about 98% of the in progress steps. To get that angle I used a circular saw to get me most of the way there then I finished it off with a sander and some 150/200/300 grit sand paper. A lot of circular saw allow you go set and angle cut. I can't remember the exact angle I used but I want to say it was somewhere in the 30 to 45 range.

how did you secure the wood panels you built to the lower part of the door on the fronts?

screws into the same spots that the screws went into that held on the stock carpeted panels
