This year. I spoke with Precision a few months ago and the sales guy let it slip when I was lamenting the lack of availability. He said it was in the works I just didn't expect that fast.He states..”it will be available around September of this year” Um which year ?
when was this written? 2022, 2023 ? He should’ve included the Date. Frustrating !

Factory rear sliders have a frame that’s about 1/2” thick and have a larger glass area & require the gasket with the wide channel. (Now sold by Precision Rubber Products). The aftermarket and Dealer installed units have a larger frame (usually aluminum) with a Flange that is the same size as the solid glass rear window and uses the same gasket as the solid glass with a narrow channel. Here’s pics of both. *and as a side note.. I’m sure back in the day, some Dealers installed the factory style sliders when those units were available.I know this is an old thread, but I have a question. My 78 needs the rubber, felts, and latch replaced. I also picked up a slider off an 80s model from a scrap yard. I see rubbers like the one above that state "fits 84-91 OE sliders", so my question is this: Is there a difference between 73-83 rear windows and 84-91?
I'm pretty sure my window is a factory - or at least dealer - option. It looks just like the aluminum ones from earlier in the thread...
So the aluminum brightwork window in the Big10 there at the bottom is dealer option style? That looks like what mine has.Factory rear sliders have a frame that’s about 1/2” thick and have a larger glass area & require the gasket with the wide channel.
