shock relocation?

i am putting a blazer gas tank in my crew cab its a 1 ton so the shocks are on the inside of the frame.

the right shock has to be moved and my only option is to put it in front of the axle like the left shock is.

i just wonder how it will affect the ride with both in front when the shackle lets the axle move towards the rear when it flexes.

the 1 ton spring hangers are closer to the frame then 1/2 and 3/4 ton hangers so a shock will not fit between the spring and the frame.

Im not sure what yout clearances are or budget is, but thought about "inboard" shock mounts???

a cross member like that would not be to hard to build should not be to bad on a budget but don't know about clearance i will check it out.

I forgot to mention that in your other thread, when I told you I put the 1-ton stuff in my Burb. I did have to mount the passenger shock in front of the axle because of the gas tank. I bolted the shock mount inside the frame, and I cut the shock mount off the axle and welded it onto the front of the axle tube. It didn't cost anything, didn't take much thought, and it works just fine.
