Shaking when in gear idling when stopped

I keep forgetting to ask yall what you think causes this. Broke motor mount?

It idles fine when in park. No shaking or anything just smooth running. When I step on the brake and put it in gear it shakes like a MF. Pull up to a stop light, shakes bad. Doesn't want to die just shakes your fillings out. Lol

Could it be a motor mount needs replaced? I forget about it until I drive it. Appreciate any help with this. Thanks

That could be. Can you have someone rev it up while you look under the hood? If they're that far gone, the motor will move alot. If it's someone you trust with doing so, have them put it in gear while holding the brakes and quickly romp on and off the gas while you watch under the hood.

Didn't have anyone to help so put the parking brake on and chauked the front tires and gave him a couple of revs. It seems to be moving quite a bit so it might be worn-out. What yall think?

I'm going to go get a new one. Never change one before so I was thinking. Get a jack and a piece of wood and just put enough pressure on the oil pan so when I pull the mount it won't drop down and will be able to get the mount out and new one in? Should I do both? Any tips would be appreciated if you know a better way to do it. Thanks
