Got a 70's tilt column for a 4 speed manual for $250, complete, in pretty good shape. Also picked up a bare f*rd 9 inch housing for $50. Apparently it's the best one? By axle bearing size anyways, it has the biggest axle bearing, new ford big style flanges. I know NOTHING about fords other than a little dabbling. There's a reason I hate fords too, there's like 30 variations of 9 inches lolol. It's ridiculous how long it took me to find answers.

My plan is if everything measures up good, I'll take the 12 bolt out of my 70 and put it under the 48, since the 48 is gonna be a cruiser not a hot rod. Then the 9 inch can go in my 70 since I'm definitely gonna beat on that lol. Plus I'd like to cruise the 70 every once in a while as well, maybe long road trips, easy to swap two third members when I want.

Went to the junkyard last weekend as I thought it was the 75% off sale, nope.
That is this week.
But we got some goodies any how as it was all still 50% off.

4th Gen window washer fluid container.
This will mount in the nose of the girls Camaro under the panel and out of the way of the air ducts to clean up the driver side inner fender.

4th Gen window radiator overflow container.
This will mount under the battery and in the fender of the girls Camaro to clean up the passenger side inner fender.
Both of these will clean up the engine bay in a big way once installed.

Max pulled a Grand Cherokee steering box for his truck.
This will bolt right in place of the stock S10 manual box he is rocking now.
Using a set of 4.3 serpentine pully brackets with matching power steering pump that I have, he can pretty much have budget power steering with a way better ratio for cheaps.

I picked up a DR44 alternator as I found a thread that showed how simple it is to swap in on my Suburban and the girls Camaro, whelp I had to see it for myself.
For the $22 out the door, I figured I would give it a try for the 145 amps it puts out.

Max found a fancy Porsche horn for his VW.

The Camaro has twisted together wires at the injectors, so I found 3 sets of them and picked them all up.

I found a 454 TBI throttle body and snapped it up as well.
It has the newer style base and its 2 inch throttle plates.
Never know, I might get excited and start feeling like delving into TBI tuning and chip burning.
If that is the case then I will need the hard parts as well to be able to do what I want.

454 versus a 350 throttle body.

Clearly they did a great job...

From the same Porsche, Max found this cool aluminum air tank in the rear of it.

It will be repurposed into a cool moon tank-ish fuel tank on his '55 Bel Air.
Here it is just sitting on the front of the car.

I was looking around a Dodge Magnum and spotted it had a battery tray in the back of it.
Digging in, it runs a piece of 1ga welding wire from back to front for the main power wire.
So I dug about 12 feet of wire out and took it home.

Ran right next to that, was the main harness.
I figured that I am out of small wires for random projects and it came out as well.

So now I have a 12 foot bundle of wires to use on projects coming up.

I had to take a train out past the yard. The tracks run behind a salvage yard. As I was rolling by, I spotted a Suburban with the air deflector on it. From 50 yards it looked too be in great shape. So I get off work, straight to the salvage yard I go. Talk to the guy, he tells me 25 bucks. So while I was checking the deflector out to make sure it wasn't in bad shape. I spot the Captain bucket seats, and good center console, a roof center console, and a good battery tray. 200 out the door. Oh and I also got the two mounts that get welded to the floor for the inside front seat bracket.

Do you know if anybody is reproducing the rubber rings that go around the pivoting map lights? Every console or dome/map light set I've seen has issues there...I mean they are 30+ years old by now right?

Not from the junkyard, but close enough. Today I picked up these old lightweight plastic race seats that were put out for free at the end of someone's driveway. Once cleaned up, they'll be in pretty good shape. The padded covers are decent too.

What the hell will I do with them? Haven't a clue... but they were free.

I've seen a lot of you guys posting your free hauls. I've been over here patiently waiting for my turn! Finally got it lol.

Free 99

What I believe is a blazer bench??
2 pairs of dumbos, one decent factory painted set which I've been looking for, one set that seems aftermarket or has some dumb plastic trim. 2wd spindles, 4 air cleaners, one tall lid which I've also been needing. Kelsey Hayes brake controller, wanted one of those too. 5 tail light lenses. A couple hubcaps, what's left of an auto steering column, a few junk grilles, a really bad dash panel, a couple inside heater boxes and one outside. Really really dented blazer tank, may try some explosive persuasion and use it for my 48. A couple other random things.

Some useable stuff some for parts or pieces. They said it was going to the junk pile, they added some of the extra stuff in from the original post once they found out I just like saving squares. The seat mainly and a couple small things.

If you paid Free.99, that's to much. I like FreeFifty better.
