Hawthorne

I have made that trip several times in the past couple years. I dont think these guys understand the ammo cash Hawthorne has, maybe you could snap a picture of that insane **** going the other way. All I remember about that place is the view of thousands of bunker type buildings scattered all over a valley and the rail road depot in the center.

Here is a few pics of the ammo buildings and bunkers in Hawthorne. Got to be several hundred(or maybe thousands) on both side of the road.

Truck still running good. Has used O oil or water. Been running 70+ mph. Mileage still holding steady at just under 10 mph average. Engine temp staying at 185-190 no matter the load. Been very happy with the engine /trans.

I forgot to ask, where are the pictures of the drag car? Thats what I really want to see.

Fun fact about Tonopah you probably did not know, there is no air compressors in that town so if you get a flat you are completely screwed. I know this because I was trying to get my Mustang to New Mexico on ****** tires that lost air, they finally ran out in that town. I checked 7 places for compressed air and everyones machines were broken or missing the hose or something. If I remember right, fix a flat was 14.99 a can and suddenly everything made sense.

Normal on launch. That's why the call them wrinkle walls. Watch a top fuel dragster in slow motion and see just how much they wrinkle all the way down the track.
