Yeah, the auto-dim, the compass and temp worked but the map lights and HomeLink were fried. Oh well, it had some useful parts. I can use the display to put in one of my dual display mirrors and watch the Pontiac guys fight over it because it's amber and will match their interior lighting.

It was an option in later GMT400s. Usually they are gone or broken but I finally ran across a good one Friday for $7.

I'll have to keep my eyes pealed. I wasn't even aware of this option

I'm surprised yours doesn't have it. I got that one from a 1998 Z71.

I'm not sure if mines a z-71 or not. All I've got is the battery tray over there. Possible that it broke at some point if it ever had it.

Shouldn't be a battery tray there, only diesels got that as far as I know? The washer jug is underneath, there's honestly no room for a battery I think.
