R4 to Sanden whith stock ac lines(for serpantine)

Went ahead with a sanden change out on my suburban. Kept original lines by picking up a sanden unit with rear line mount and adding inline #8 discharge adapter. I will get part numbers and drawing for adapter plates posted on monday. The pulley on the compressor has extra ribs, but it does not make much difderence. Needs a longer belt, you can see in the picture I have the idler bypassed at the moment.

That's a great conversion, there wasn't a GM compressor more poorly suited to a dual air Suburban than an R4, especially with R134a.
I'd considered a GM V5 compressor, but the reversal of the suction and discharge ports was a problem.
Do you have the compressor mounted inverted with the crankcase drain at the top?

It is mounted up right with oil fill on top. Slight angle to make sure valve cover is cleared.
250cc oil fill acording to service guide
The only non original parts are:
# 8 High Side Inline Discharge Port R-134a 16mm
Part #ATC6302

Sanden 4864 (SD7H15HD-FLX)

Longer belt k060980

Compressor bolts that seem to work best are m10-1.5

This is most up to date drawing I have for the brackets. The middle hole can be not drilled until test fitted to allow for small variations.

Quick update. The most problematic scenario for stock ac system is mostly resolved. Parked in the middle of texas sun, start up and idle without movement. Could be a bit better still but it is now pretty decent.

Just did the sanden upgrade last month, I used the longer belt, New accumulator tank, air tube, and hoses. I had to cut a small piece of metal off my throttle body air cleaner mount and shift the air cleaner about 3/4 of an inch so the snorkel would clear the suction side hoes fitting. That R 4 compressor should have never been used. The sanden works great, like a regular A/C compressor should.

Had close to ultimate test a week ago. Sitting idle in middle of Houston (100+ degrees F) for 3+ hours. Even with the 4 row aluminum radiator and hd clutch fan the temp got to 215 for coolant, but AC was able to keep up with front on medium and rear on full blast.

Did you have the AC hoses made?

Did you add the ATC6302 to have easier access to high side?
I think I can still see the original under the air cleaner duct.

For the Sanden, do you know what car these are used on or did you just buy using the part number above?

Using the specific part number allows to use stock hoses. That part number specs for a big truck (18 wheelers). The atc adapter allowed for extension in order for stock lines to reach because sanden is longer

Most of the Sanden's I've seen have the male ends, I was wondering where yours came from.

What about the wiring my r4 has the 12 oclock two prong and a high side port in the back
