You left all this out in the original post:buttkick:

But the answer to all Qjet questions is put a Holley on it
Yea , I got busted when I just put up what carb to what Manifold (2GC to Quadrajet Manifold) So
I made up the details to keep you happy. I've still only seen the truck the one time for 2 minutes. Hope you know I'm just playing. No offense intended.

I do believe there is an adapter to put a 2G on a quadrajet intake. You will need one for a "large bore" 2G carb, which is what was used starting in '69.

However, I don't recommend it. I've now fought two different large bore 2G's (the only two I've owned) that insisted on having an off-idle stumble. Not bad enough that you can't drive it, but bad enough to really piss you off when you drive it, lol. Earlier this year I replaced the 2G on my '73 Chevelle with a Holley 2bbl and couldn't be happier.

Yea this was just going to be a temp deal while I rebuild/rebush this guy's quadrajet. I just happen to have the carb laying here. But adapting a carb on to use for a week, nah,I'm just going to tell him, wait on it, I have better things to do than waste time on temporary B.S.
