Well as long as ive been saying i will own a sq.bdy some day, that day finally came in an unexpected way. I fabricated a twin turbo setup in a guys Silverado SS. Since the day i picked up the SS to bring to my "tool shed" i saw his square body sittin there doing nothing. He said he would never sell it.. Over the course of time, working on his SS i would occasionally give him 'chit about selling the sq to me. He and his girl found out they were going to be having a baby shortly before i was finished with the build. Understandably, money became tight and he needed more time to pay for the fab work and parts. I was ok with this, but not ok with the un-utilized space the full size ext SS silverado was taking up. So i asked him what he thought about making a deal on the square body, he was hesitant but after a nights sleep to think on it, a deal was proposed and to wrap it up, I own a squarebody.
Ive been around them quite a bit and have always been jealous of the very spacious engine bays lol. 1 muddy has a hopped up 402ci. bbc in his. And most recent experience was swapping an LS into a buddys stepside.
Plans for now are:all new cab, body, bed and other bushings, finish plumbing suspension, wire soleniod valves and switch box. Gen 3 LS swap w/ 4L60e unless i get lucky and find a 6.0 80e van thats totalled, then it will get my mustangs 4.8. But i cant think too far ahead, going to cross the roads as i come to them. for now i will post the finished work i did on the SS and a pic of my stang and finally the new pickup.
