I'm aware and this is not a diesel. I have all the emissions from this donor truck being a California truck anyways. I'm up for the challenge and we'll see how it goes.
I can't remember where I found it exactly, but I printed a California BAR Engine Swap guideline book from the interwebs. It had loads of good info on what does and does not need to cross over during the swap process to meet the requirements of the state referee.

I ended up using an ECM out of a van which would have resulted in my swap not passing the state referee since it's a different vehicle classification. I'm in one of those special counties though so I won't need to deal with it anyway.
