4000+ stalls are very daily driveable on 60e and 80e trucks

Provided you keep the lock up feature, and the converter gets a break to cool the fluid. Hi Stalls create heat, and 4K will create mega heat for a short lived trans as a DD. With lock up, the fluid will cool since there is no slippage.

I have the high psi tuneport fuel injection pump in the tank . I hope i can use that.
I am still on the fence if i want to go with the gm carb intake and a 850 cfm carb, cam swap, valve springs,l92 heads to make 550 hp7,500 rpms .or 6.0 l92 heads ,cam and valve springs and deal with reprograming is not my thing.

get some pics up! get all of your mods on then take it and have someone tune it, don't change the parts on it and you won't have to tune it again for a long time

It better be a cooler about the size of your AC condensor. 4L60-E's already need added cooling. NOt saying it can't be done. Just saying for a DD, I'd sure see about keeping the lock up feature.

True, those type work better so it doesn't have to be so big. Those are better than the bigger tube aluminum fin type. That type is alot like a radiator itself. Normally with lower gear, you can get lock up about 40-45 mph, but in an E trans I'm sure it can be adjusted highter with ECM tuning.
