What about parts for the fuel system for a 1987(TBI):
-selector valve
-fuel pumps
-sending units
-hoses
etc... anyone have good or bad experiences with these from LMC?

I figure out what I needed from LMC, research on google and find the part number, then I buy on amazon. they have everything from timken bearings to yukon axles to mile marker hubs. I absolutely refuse to pay the outrageous shipping costs LMC charges. Why? because F*** them thats why.

I'd try and source AC Delco for as much of that as possible. I like LMC for some things like interior trim and other things not commonly found. but for those parts I'd look for elsewhere.

Parts came today. Quality is good but I could have bought Depo parking lights on the jungle site for less and had them faster. The GM official bowtie for the grill probably not. Sidemarker lights look really good and are heavy, don't feel cheap in the slightest, so probably better than the zon I'd imagine. Pert near all Taiwanese origin.

Interesting thread. I'm looking to replace the window channels on my 85 K10. LMC has the parts for @ $50 while Precision wants close to $200. Is it worth the extra $$? Or maybe there is a better source? I have found several places for aftermarket parts but I really don't want a custom fit.

@Mr Neutron , we used precision exclusively on our build. Only problem we had was the one piece windshield rubber. Poorly manufactured and would not fully seat around the frame and we had tremendous leaks. Replaced it with just a Chinese one from local parts store and we have been dry since. All the other seals, back window, door channels vent windows (we rebuilt them from scratch) all are well made and now 1 1/2 years later are still in perfect shape.

Just like everyone else says. Lmc for the trim and hard to find stuff, because their shipping is horrible. For the usual stuff I go with summit if they have it as most items I get next day with normal shipping. Autozone and oreillys here doesn’t even stock the copper spark plugs anymore so I only use them to borrow tools now. Rockauto has some cheap parts for repair just be careful some of the stuff they carry wouldn’t pass inspection by a blind man

One other thing @Mr Neutron , Precision has a ton of YouTube videos on “how to“ that help and you can call and talk to Jeff Gau and he will help you get the right parts in case you have a mismatch of parts on your square. We have a 76 but have 77 doors which challenged us with the vent glass kit being 2 piece verses one.

Does anyone have an LMC discount code floating around? Thinking it's time for the winter project parts order.

Thanks everyone for the info. I went back and re-read all the posts and decided to look at Summit. They had the Precision Parts for about half the cost. Before I try and install the passenger side, I have to remove the window and seat the glass back into the sash. I'm not sure i'm ready to tackle the vent window rebuild just yet. Thanks again for information and encouragement!

So you think the shipping is bad? You know they charge sales tax on shipping!

Pretty sure Carparts.com has squarebody rear repair panels on sale right now for about $70 with free shipping.

Parts from Summit arrived quick. I opened the box to inspect the window channel kit and one of the bags inside had been previously opened. After further inspection I discovered the tab that holds the channel in place at the top rear of the door frame was missing.
