K30 w/hydroboost clutch pedal solution

CUCV (84 K30) cab, hydroboost brakes, th400 auto

Talking to the shop who will be rebuilding my th400 and transfer case. They mentioned they had a couple nv4500 manuals they’d rebuild and sell me. I’d like to keep the door open to a future Cummins swap. I know the th400 would die pretty quick behind a Cummins, so spending the time and money on the nv4500 seems logical. Not to mention less parasitic losses and wider gear ratios.

I’ve found a couple pedal assemblies on eBay, but they don’t list them specifically for k30 or hydro boost brakes. I remember reading that the pushrod and spacing is different from vac brake trucks.

Can I run a c/k 10/20 pedal assembly with minor modifications in my truck?

Any other kits like this that are a professional looking setup? Not too concerned with the cost, just want it to be nice. If not, any links to a factory 1985+ setup would be appreciated.

The factory pedal sets are getting expensive.

I've posted about it in a couple other threads, but I modified an existing clutch pedal for the correct geometry and best of all, it mounts to an original pedal bracket for an auto. Not only was it cheap, it was a much easier install.

Well, I ordered a pedal assembly off eBay. We’ll see what it is when it gets here. I jumped on it due to it being 1/3 of the price of others like it. Hopefully it’s not junk. The seller has all positive reviews...

I've used this eBay seller before. They part out a lot of GM trucks here on N. California. There aren't any pedal assemblies on their page now, but I've had them pull parts for me before and create an auction. Second link is for a guy that sells GM truck parts in Fremont.

I have a vaccum brake clutch pedal assembly out of a half ton as well someday ill put it in my 1 ton. I swear I seen a build thread and all they did was cut off a nub or whatever and rewelded it where it needed to be for the hyrdo brakes. I remember thinking it was pretty simple but I could be wrong.

I have a vaccum brake clutch pedal assembly out of a half ton as well someday ill put it in my 1 ton. I swear I seen a build thread and all they did was cut off a nub or whatever and rewelded it where it needed to be for the hyrdo brakes. I remember thinking it was pretty simple but I could be wrong.

This is the one I have coming. It looks a lot like your top pic. Hopefully it fits. I paid $125, the other sellers I came across on eBay are asking $300-500 for these assemblies.

Not much room with my exhaust/headers for a mechanical clutch linkage...

That's a pedal set for a mechanical clutch.

How difficult is adapting the mech clutch to a juice unit. I thought I’ve seen premade conversion kits for it.

I’ll call advance adapters in the morning to see what pedal setups they have. I’m more motivated today to do the manual swap today, as the tranny shop quoted me $2300 to rebuild my th400 to a standard level. Seems quite high to me...
