If so how much am I looking to spend
I have my blazer on cl for 2k lol......the transmission shifts great up where I live but the minute its on flat land it shifts goofy again I'm wondering if maybe the governor is the cause of all my head aches any ideal how to pull the cover off and what too look for and where its located exactly
Hotrod I spoke with jim he will fill u in as to what he thinks is the problem and hopefully with your guidince we can resovle this issue
I knew there was a reason I asked u to post that info lol you know all the technical terms lol
HR,
I think he may have damaged/altered the geometry of the bellcrank that pushes the TV valve in the valve body. He said that the old TV cable got caught up when he was lifting the old body off the frame, and pulled out of the trans.
He said that when he is looking up into the VB with the pan off, the bellcrank is not touching the TV plunger. IIRC, that is supposed to be touching the crank at all times when the cable is adjusted correctly.
I am not sure how far in its supposed to go, but he says the TV plunger does not go all the way in when he had his brother floor it while he was watching.
If thats the case, I am thinking his issues stem from low LP through the ranges.
Perfect all that information you just gave me will help me fix what I think is wrong after speaking with Jim so I'll drop the pan see where the arm is in relation to the valve pin thing and if its still not right then I'll take it apart and fix what I can also is that pin supposed to be all the way in with no throttle or out with no throttle and also are the TV cables expencuve to buy or are they fair priced?
