No, I didn't think you were, but I thought I seen you given advice to one of the newbies about the Marines. Now I think of it, it was Clean who did that too. Told him not to volunteer for anything.
Yikes.

For the record, I am not a service man and totally respect anybody who is.:patriot:

My Dad was in Vietnam for a tour and he never talked to me about it or told me what it was like and took his secrets to his grave. That kinda hurt me. He was Army. I am going to stop now.

:console: Don't be hurt by that. I am sure you wanted to know and would have been interested in his tour to Nam. I would be too even though he wasn't my dad, but you did the right thing by not bringing it up or pressuring him to discuss. Many Vets wouldn't discuss. I lost a cousin to Agent Orange and cancer. He also would never talk about his tour in Nam. Its not a pretty discussion. No war ever is, but that one paticualar war was nasty enough, its best to not be discussed so I been told. I have talked to WW2 Vets, Korean War vets, Desert Storm vets, Bosnia etc, all would talk and painted an ugly picture, but I don't know anyone that will talk about Nam. I worked with Nam Vet in an appliance/electronics/furniture store for years. The guys was messed up from Nam. He actually would not even wait on or help any Vietnamese people. He'd run to the back room and stay there until they left the store. He would never discuss Nam either other than to say, I can't help those people. How come C??? Nevermind, I am a Nam Vet and I won't, enough said.

My Dad had three tours in Nam, and never talked about it, until I came back from Combat. He still didn't go into great detail. I did find out he spent nine months on the DMZ (Demilitarize Zone)

He was a big help when I lost one of my best friends in Saudi "91"

Forgot all about it. Thank You Sir !!! I guess I can delete that other one since I have one already. I've got pics. No 4x4's at all. Plenty of Air distributors for AC trucks, only 2 for Non AC trucks but 1 of them was absolutely Primo brand new looking with cables and all. Just a well kept, probably in the garage truck The nicest one I could find with AC happened to be on an 81 with the metal and 2 piece back cover. Knowing I can retrofit the vac lines that go internal of the box on the older one, and the big factor that the passenger side fender was removed made it real easy work to get to and my back was and is literally killing me, so I went for the gravy train.

There was about 8 Jeep shafts to be had. I took the 2 easy ones where the steering columns were removed and the shafts were just laying there with only 1 bolt to remove off the gear box end and they were mine, so I got those 2. And then I got 2 more where the Air Intakes had been removed already and they pretty much a straight shot and not realy hard to get but did have to remove the bolts to the steer gear boxes, so I got a total of 4 Jip shafts. Got 1 a bit different this time. It don't look like the rest and was off a 92. Post Pics shortly.

There was 2 2wd manual trans trucks, 1 an 83 3 speed column shift and 1 an 83 with SM465. I got a fuggin hard on thinking Hydro clutch pedals. NOPE. It was manual Z bar. I was certain by 83 they were Hydro. Then I seen PRND21 in the dash. The RPO code label was there, also said 3 Speed Auto. Someone had done a real good job on a manual trans conversion.

Ohh and there was a little bit of drama there today too. There was a dismembered body found in the PAP yard today. The torso and head, a leg, an arm and they were looking for the other arm and leg.

Yeah, no ****. Female too with blunt force trauma to the pelvic area and the breasts. Not many clues to go on as of right now except a can. Hopefully it has some DNA on it. I got a couple pics of the scene. I'll post up in a few.

I think it took some sick bastard to do such a thing and just leave her to there to lay like that.

Ohhh **** !!! My bad !!! In all the drama, I forgot all the rules here about no dead or dismembered people. At least it's not a bloody scene.

Here is the 81 Air Distributor I got. It's really clean inside. The heater hoses were hooked up, and pretty green coolant came out of it. No signs of leaking in the box or the floorboard, so I think I got a good heater core too. It was $10.70 for the air distributor and heater core. Heater core alone says $10 on the price sheet, then Heat box was $10.70. I think he was supposed to charge me both. No biggie, I'm not going to argue.

And here are the 4 Jip Shafts I got. They were $12 each.

:happy175: And that was the only thing I seen in there worth taking pics of. There wasn't a big selection of squares. No 4x4's at all. No K5's. Only one Burb, it was a 91 and had an E instument cluster with Trip Odo. I was going to grab it too, I think only $10, but the trip odo would not reset when I hit the button, time was a crunch and cash certainly is too so I punted on that even. Nothing like power mirrors. I checked them all for hydro clutch, A833, Power Mirrors, etc. Nothing but the common goods and they were all stripped down pretty good.
