How to mount 1983 (O-ring style) PS pump on 1975 K10

I put a Borgeson steering gear and crossover steering in my ‘75 K10 but the fittings kept leaking. So I bought a 1983 version PS pump w O ring fitting because I heard they seal better.

The problem is that the pump is clocked just a little different such that my PS reservoir interferes with the Waterpump and won’t allow me to tighten the belt. Any ideas for a solution?

With out pictures I would only be guessing. Drill some new holes in the bracket? Are you using the new pump bracket, or the old pump bracket?

I’m using to old bracket and it won’t let me pull it to the left enough to tighten the belt-or even get the second bolt installed.

I know they make adapter fittings to go from flared pumps to o-ring fittings but I'm not sure about the other way.

Put your newer fitting in your old pump,they unscrew out of the pump. Then you can have old pump new Oring. lines

So unless the SAE tube flare is damaged, you should be able to get it to seal. GM used them for years. That being said, you could mount your old pump. Swap out the relief valve from the '83 pump into the '75. Now you will need the correct pressure hose with the 'O' type fitting on the pump connection.

I was going to swap the reservoir to the new pump but that sounds a lot easier.
