This is pretty damn cheap for a 20,000lb snatch block. A new item at HF. So far all good reviews except 1 and it seems to be an idiot that doesn't know how to use a snatch block and he trashed it. Granted at this price, I wouldn't expect much. But a good tool to have in your 4x4, especially you guys with winches.

I'm going to be getting at least 1. I'd prefer to have 4 or so at this price. 2 for each truck.

Great post! I will get two. One for the truck and another for the fourwheeler!

Here's that snatchblock. I got one today. I'll be going back to get at least 3 more before the Super Coupon Expires. Bigger and Beefier than I thought. The only complaint I seen in the reviews, is spacer should have been between the bracket halves. I'll agree with that. I tend to find a biggo washer, then I'll run my chain or big hook thru the first half, the washer, then the other half and be good as gold. I was impressed for a $20 snatch block with a 20,000lb rating. I also really like the ease of use. No extra bolts, hardware, wing nuts or anything to deal with. Just twist open, put your cable in it, twist it shut and hook your hook or chain thru it and done. I'd have 2 on every 4x4 I had if it were me guys. You may not need it, may not even have a winch, but someone else while you're out playing may need use of it and not have one, or you may need a tow out and the good guy helping you may not have one.

So I went to my old trusty hardward box that I save, nuts, bolts, gadgets and bs in. I've had these biggo washers for years and years. Older than both my kids I'm sure. Found a use for them.
Here's what I mean by a spacer making these snatchblocks perfect. They'll work as is, but this makes them even better and keep the geometry correct.

I think I'll file that opening in the washer a tad bigger for a perfect fit, grind a bit off the outer edge down by the pulley, then I'll get some epoxy glue and glue the washer in place, just so it doesn't get lost or separated from the snatch block.

I picked up a 1/2 inch drive earthquake impact gun yesterday! All I've done so far is take off and reinstall one lug nut, but I'm pretty impressed with build quality so far.

Pencil torch for 2.99 is worthless

I'll 2nd that. I couldn't even get to fill with fuel and/or light up. Luckily I got them on sale for $1.99 with super coupon and only wasted $4.

Mine took a very small amount and lit for less than 2 seconds. Then wouldn't take fuel

Welding cart

Well I went up to HF and picked up their welding cart. It was on sale with a coupon for $35. It seemed to get great reviews so I picked it up. My son put it together and it seems pretty sturdy. It says it holds a 100 lbs. We will see how it handles after I put a tank on it. Here it is with my welder on it.

Here is a update on the welding cart. I bought a tank for it the other day. It is not the small one but the next size up that is slightly taller than the welder on the cart now. I have to say that I really like the cart. It is well built. It is not shaky nor does it feel cheap. It rolls pretty nice. I paid $35, with a coupon, for it. I will give it a thumbs up for now. No regrets-yet.

While its not Harbour Freight.. We have Princess Auto which is the same thing. I picked up a 1/2" Torque Wrench good from 20-150lbs for $25 yesterday.

We'll see how it works.

Harbor Freight

They sell a product called Evapo-Rust that is excellent for stripping rust from parts. My only beef about HF tools is they always seem to have a weak link that eventually gives out and makes them junk. But for the price they can do great things while they last, and that might be just enough to accomplish the mission required.

Bought the 400 ft wire holder, seems pretty sturdy, may need to find a way to keep it from unrolling itself though

A few posts above a few of you guys were talking about the pencil torch. Would one of you enlighten me on how to fill it? Do you just use regular butane lighter fluid? Like for a Zippo? How does the damn thing open? I know you all make it sound like it's not worth it, but I gotta at least try and get some flame from the stupid thing... Can't let it win.
