Fix Slamming Doors - Striker Door Latch Repair

Glad to see a few get on board with this easy cheap fix. I posted it long ago and not many took action. But yep, it works and it works good. I've had to do it to all my squares and what a difference it makes.

Do you think it will work on other vehicles besides squares?

If they originally came with bushings on the striker. Many do not.

Finally got around to doing this, and WOW!! I would have never guessed it would have worked that well. I had to buy a 10' section at Lowe's and it was only a couple of dollars. Needless to say I had plenty.

I fixed 6 doors this way a few weeks ago, all 4 on the '86 Burb and the rear doors on the '79 crew cab. SOOO much easier and cheaper than replacing the entire striker!
