Engine Backfire Diagnosis Led to Wiped cam Lobes

Damn it I can't navigate tapatalk to get to the thread I want. Somebody let sew know that I'm going through Verden in about 10 minutes on my way to Anadarko and then I will be going back through there on my way back so maybe I can get him one of those two ways.

On the front: 2 large and 3 small ports.
On the back: 1 small one on the bottom and a little bigger on the very top.
1 small one on the choke pull off. I assume the larger stem on the back of the pull off is a vent or something and not a vac port.

I'm at my car now. Actually outside of Anadarko 8 miles from Apache on Highway 281. On my way back now. Should be back in Verden in about 20 minutes or so.

Ok with the exception of the big bottom port that goes to the pcv. Cap all vac ports. Leave everything unhooked including the brake booster. Do not attempt to go and drive as the brake booster will have no vac assist. See what having all the ports capped off does with only the pcv hooked to the big port on the bottom.

This was as of the other day. Not there is a vac line from the small port on the bottom to the small port on the pull off.

Also cap the ports on the back (2&3) make sure (1) is a plug and not a hole so with the engine running plug it with your finger. Hot rod in that area

I will have to pickup some more vac plugs when I get to town. What am I looking for after I get all the ports plugged?
