I'm putting electric windows and locks in my 78. The door shells are empty so I can use either the 77-81 or 82-87 window regulators and motors. From a price standpoint the 82-87 is cheaper since LMC has the motors for 39.95 ea vs the 77-81 motors for 124.95 ea. I "assume" the later style would be better due to maybe being a better design but I'm not sure. I'll run the relay kit whichever way I go but does anybody know the difference between the two designs? (77-81 vs 82-87). My doors are off a 1980 model so I'm also not sure if the holes would accommodate the later style regulator and motors. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I did see those, they are pricey but prob worth it to not have to mess with the factory stock stuff.

Also I believe you must use their switches. I would like some input on whether the 77-81 motors work better than the 82-87 motors. I'm sure the connectors on the motors and switches are different and I have to buy the connectors plus the switches. I want to make sure it all plugs together.
