These old cars are stiff. Passanger side jack is an inch higher than drivers side. Week ago drivers side frame was about an inch off its jack. Almost a week later it settled down.

What class do you race an El Camino in? Not sure where you are and I know class names are different up north. I would guess some kind of street stock class? I have been around dirt track racing for a majority of my life, never really got the itch to race myself, watched my dad and brother dump too much time and money into it haha. Looks like it will be a very well built car!

Yup the Street Stock class. Will run it in Amarillo mostly, I'm 45 mile west of there. I've never done it, never built a race car, I mean bone stock ignorant, but I ve been driving a while and everybody needs a 53 year old rookie. Got the itch to so here we go.

Hey better late than never. At this pace you should be ready for next season easily.

Little update, haven't worked on the car. Been gathering parts and pieces. Our trans blow up proof bell housing and possible head cores. Supposed to be good casting number heads?

Was unaware they didn't? Prob why I have a sand rail. Once this race car is done, figure we will put the auto trans and rear end we are taking out of it and put in the rail. Tool around our little town, go out in the country and chase coyotes or antalope.

Been running around like a cat on concrete, so not alot of progress, but.
Little fire wall massaging and engine and trans are mocked up. Hoping to get the mounts finished this weekend.

Nice!!! Really coming along.
Love those Moroso valve covers.

If I had known you were looking for a Ford 9in, I would've let you know that my boss has like 3 of them in his axle pile.
