Replace the fuel filter AND run a bottle of Lucas complete fuel system cleaner in the tank. You might also clean your carb well while you're at it.

Or use Seafoam in the tank

What shape is your distributor cap and rotor? Securely fastened?

Im a cat and i have first hand knowledge it doesnt work.

for example, i asked for me to have friends and be loved by someone in life.

Also, check your distributor weights. my truck had intermittent behavior such as yours i could never figure out. the weights stuck out and my timiing was retarded heavily. So after cleaning weights, truck actually didnt run right, so i had to advance it and it smoothed way out.

Also fuel filter. i have a lot of junk that gets caught in my filter, from my fuel pump thats breaking down. imagine 10 years of old rubber, debris in tank, bad gas, etc. if you got stock qjet its right there easy to get to.

i would just say inspect your weights for operation before adjusting or checkingtiming, its a 2 min process.

I would also recommend a compression check just to make sure you don't have something mechanical going on. I had an issue with it detonating under load and it turned out to be too far advanced AND I had a valve spring broken

Thanks again guys,

Quick follow up, is the fuel filter connected to the carb aka quadrajet? Or attached to the frame close to the gas tanks? My K10 has 2 gas tanks.
Ive not found much info on youtube on changing the fuel filter.

The Q-jet carb usually has one behind the fitting the gas enters through.
There are two lengths used, short and long, and either paper or bronze.
A lot of people (like myself) add an inline filter by the tank switch solenoid, and sometimes one between the fuel pump and carburetor in the engine compartment.

Ok guys, the mystery deepens. I replaced the fuel filter, started her up, made it out of the driveway and up the street. Ran rough, but no stalling under load. Got back and noticed that spark plug #3 was not connected. Bonehead move i know. I had pulled the wire to check the plug (plug was fine btw). So I re connected the wire, and now im back where I was. Cant make it up the street. So in essence, she runs better without #3 connected.
I am waiting for a friends compression gage, to check as many of you pointed out. Does anyone have a diagram of firing order on distributor? 305
