No sir. Another friend did find a white one in a Columbus salvage yard if you need a 282.

Think about it, "ran when parked" actually makes sense. It just means that even if it won't fire up right now (from sitting), the potential is there. It doesn't always mean that it broke down. My '69 Impala is a perfect example, it drove itself into the garage several years ago without any trouble at all, but it's anyone's guess if it will start now.

Yeah well, think about it. ALL vehicles ran when parked unless they were towed to their current resting spot.
So I was driving my truck home with a rod knock, just as I pulled into the driveway it thru a rod thru the block. For Sale !!! It was running when I parked it !!!

Not really the 282, but I could use the shifter cables. Did they use the big single tranny mount on the driver's side? If it's the a-body type mounts, I could use the brackets too.

To damn much IMO. Not a bad looking truck, but needing transmission work... That's how I steal mine. Bought the 84 with a low mileage 454 straight rust free body needing paint and some interior work for $100 with a blown Th400. Bought the 85 K1500 with a new crate 350 for $500 needing the 700r4 rebuilt.

That's a $1000 truck needing a transmission rebuild.
