A little '87 C10 with a 4.3 would make a nice run around truck.

Yup, I agree, and with a A833 trans even better yet or even a NV3500 which is much easier to find. I'd have no problem running a 4.3, but many claim they don't do much better than Wee O Fives. I wouldn't mind setting one up with a 283 TBI and A833. I bet that would be a good mpg combo too.

On the highway, I got upper 20's out of my 4.3/5-speed S-10. Figure in a little more weight and some wind drag, I think low to mid 20's would still be no problem.

There are so many things wrong with this.
No interior pics to comfirm th 9 outa 10
8 outa 10 on body doesnt look like it
and lets see the "custom one off wheels"

You're right, it's probably way overpriced... but it looks cool, lol.

I could deal with that. I just don't drive enough to justify having a car payment on a ricer. If I did, I'd buy the ricer and the money I saved in fuel would make the payment. As it is now, if I need to go out of town, I can rent an econo ricer that gets 35-40mpg and it more than pays the rental fees too. Bad thing is, last time I rented a car, I wasn't supposed to take it out of state and I went to AZ in it. I'da been in some deep **** if I got in a wreck. I was freaking the whole time wondering if they had GPS locate on the car. That was a few years ago so apparently not. Who knows, it may have had GPS too and they just don't check it unless the car wasn't returned or was reported stolen.

I know those GPS system work. We get repo guys coming into the tow yard occasionally asking if we have a certain vehicle that GPS is showing it to be right here, so it's either here or one of the shops next door and everytime, we've had it.

Last time I rented a car, they didn't give me enough of a mileage allowance and I unplugged the VSS and drove it from Akron to Memphis with no speedo.
