im having my own exhaust dilemma right now too...
so my pipe on the passinger side got banged up (long story) anyway, ive got some cherry bomb i could throw on and make it work or toss on the heddman headers and hope for a deal on some pipes and flows...

i really just want to do the headers, just need to talk myself into doing the work...

do it, ebay has LONG TUBES in stainless for like $158 or so. That's almost or as cheap as black ones that rust big time really fast.

pipe kits summit has for like $150-200 I think last I checked, and then you buy your own flows or find some cheap, maybe some reducers etc. and viola.

Be careful and dont blindly trust in "stainless steel" as something that's going to last. A lcal muffler shop had a batch of bad "stainless steel" mufflers (made in China) that were rusting out. He pulled one out of the box and it just looked different from other stainless things, probably because it wasn't high nickel content stainless. Whatever you're looking at try to find reviews on it and see if it is lasting like it should.

:word: If it's a cheap price and claimed to be stainless steel I'd be VERY cautious with my purchase. Quality stainless is not cheap to by but is very worth the high price in the long run.

I'd triple check and be sure none of those wires touch the headers....

SO TRUE. In headers, fact is, you get what you pay for. Just sayin'

So what did you have to do to talk the wife into OKing the headers? What does she think of the rumble?? I bet you had to tongue punch her in the fart box to get those !!!
