Wow. Very cool. I see you went with domed pistons. What kind of heads/CR are you looking for?

Also, since you went that far, why not go all the way to the 496?

11:1 compression, edelbrock performer rpm 110cc heads with a 290cc intake. Didn't bore block to a 496 because I didn't want to waste the engine block if something happened and not much more of gain.

I'm putting together the cylinder heads soon, have everything needed. Still have to check piston to valve clearance because pistons are domed. Then i should be able to measure push rod length for my full roller rockers. I will keep posting pictures as I continue.

That is very nice. That's one of the few big blocks I would change over for.
Will be nice, but i have a feeling I will be replacing some u joints and the gear and pinion when I get it in the truck.

Ok, I usually use dummy’s and a dial indicator, then again you kinda need push rods too.

Nope Quoted your "NICE" post. Someone local to me has 2 as a pair on CL. A I think 67 and 68. Wants 12K for the pair. That's just the one BB that I always wanted.

Was going to use play doe to check the piston the valve clearance, flattening the play doe to like a 1/4 inch and lay on the piston. Then set the cylinder head on and snug up the head bolts and turn the crank over. Pull the head off and measure the indentation of the play doe with a micrometer to figure gasket thickness.
