Best way to pull this 350

The manifold bolts came off easily but impossible the ones at the exhaust pipes, should I yank the transmission or just the engine and disconnect at the clutch housing? I’ve never done one before.

Since its a manual, you can pull the 4 bolts that hold the trans to the bellhousing and leave the bellhousing bolts in place. You will need to put a ratchet strap or similar underneath the transmission to support the front of it when you slide the engine off the input shaft of the transmission or you could bend or break something. Alternatively, you can unbolt the transmission from the adapter and transfercase and pull the entire engine/trans out together.

Thank you, I think I’ll pull the whole unit with the transmission since I’m going to re seal it anyway then I’m going to convert my np 205 to a twin stick so eventually it’s all coming out

I pulled a 350/700r4/np208 all at once. Then installed a LM7 5.3/4l60e/np208 all at once. With all that I made sure not to make sudden/jerky movements just in case.
