Double spiral locks are a pain to install, but after 18, I am good at it. Use a stone to deburr rings. Wiseco uses this ring spacer for support over the pin area, common practice. I also polish each ring with green scotchbrite until it is super smooth.

These Wiseco pistons use a .078 wide top and second chrome moly ring set. This is how to check bolt streach. Short block FINALLY done.

The original Melling pump is high volume high pressure, which takes more hp to run. Generally if the engine has correct clearances, the standard volume pump will start to bypass around 2000 rpm’s. I will buy another Melling M77 pump and modify it. You can buy them with three different springs. I will set pressure at 60 psi, which is good for this 6000+ rpm engine. We have AMB tool supply in Yakima, will stop by and check my torque wrench on there gage, a free service. Back from town, my old Monkey Wards Powercraft tools torque wrench was......perfect, not even a lb. off at both 95, and 110 ft. lbs., amazing, at least 50 years old.

You must be registered for see images attach
Is that a 6-71? Would love to have a blower motor, but this motor is to high compression. Maybe in the future......

Monday and a little done. Howards timing set had to be returned, as it was just to tight, like no slop at all, tight. Summit was very good. I exchanger it for the same thing but from Summit. Still receiving some parts, Crank bolt, adj. timing pointer, Morose balancer installation tool, crank turning socket, and bottom of the line spark plugs. The scorpion rockers are a very good piece, and though they are rated at 1.7 they have been measured at 1.79. That will give me .685 lift, nice. A few pictures:

Sooooo, dang two steps forward and one step back. Have to wait to set my cam up. Also got this in today from repair, this will go in the overlander van....when we get it. Also is very portable, and can haul it around the farm, and power part of our house during a power outage. I also have three 100W solar panels, and a charger.
