I've had the truck 4 or 5 years now and no corrosion on the posts at ALL. Now all of a sudden I'm getting it. Wtf?

I cleaned them about a month ago and now the negative post is fcked again. I don't get it. I cleaned and greased them last time and here we are. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

The ground to the block is clean. :mad3:

Yup verge of replacement. Bet when the weather turns cold it goes belly up on you. I always lose my battery around 4 years and when the seasons switch from hot to cold or cold to hot.

I’ve had luck (temporary) with re-sealing around the bottom of the battery posts with rtv.

This is the truth, the change in weather is what takes them out.

Exactly. ran a towing service. Any weather change we got busy. Hot to cold, cold to hot, dry to wet, or wet to dry didn't matter. Got totally inundated when below 0. Those 4-year-old batteries wouldn't cut it.

I have an 82 6.2 diesel with 250,000 miles and the cables are like new.
The glow plug controller is also the original.
I only ran Delco batteries and none ever leaked or left me stranded.
Low voltage kills electronics.

Threw some rtv on the negative post and greased her up again. Seems to hold till I get a new one.
