And, on that fuse link thing, if it were a hot wire, I'd give serious consideration to installing one, if there wasn't one already.

Decades back, I experienced a shorted wire that all the insulation melted off of. Had the truck had a fuse link, that wouldn't have happened.

I appreciate the responses and I am a bit skeptical in regard to my actual "need" for this junction block. The 12V+ source for this junction block comes from the starter where it is co-mounted with the 12V+ from the battery through another junction block. I am thinking to just eliminate this junction, and directly wire it to the junction block approximately 1 foot away!

where are you putting your fuse panel from your donor?

The replacement wiring harness fuseblock is under the hood on the firewall. Not ideal but it was there when I bought the truck. The CPU is out there as well.
