See if you can adapt it to the GM product of your choice. It probably has a half a million miles on it before it went bad. Lol

Weirdly, the bellhousing pattern is different than standard GM.
250k on it.
Fluid is getting dark dark read, slightest shortage in fluid and it slips.

I'm gonna do a full rebuild on it.

GM made some automatics for BMW too. I have no clue what the model name was.

Tore down the transmission tonight.
Odd tranny.
It's got 2 planatary gear sets.
1 for 1st, 1 for 2nd.
2 pans, 2 valve bodies.
2-3 or 3-4 gear band is at the bottom of the transmission.

1st gear uses its own planatary set, pan, and valve body., hell it's got its own section of the transmission.

Im not sure.
The passport really has gained a whole new level or respect from me.

Has a HD d44 rear, not sure about front diff, but it's bigger than the s10 front diff.
(the old diff, not the dana 60 LOL)
Rear is 3 link, geared 4.30 with limited slip.

3.2L isuzu motor that just won't quit. DOHC

GM 4L30E.

Transfer case I didn't take the time to identify. I assume new process.
It's just high and low range.
Vaccuum operated 2wd/4x4. Also has "winter drive" mode, which makes it awd.
It's got some sort of proprietary adapter and pattern. Not just a standard 6 bolt circle or whatever.

Essentially you can't clock it. It's doweled in place.

I will say, in 1st gear, low range 4x4, it feels like it's got a 3:1 ratio, or even lower lol

The Passport was an Isuzu Rodeo. It is a perfect example of badge engineering. A Pilot is front wheel drive based, and a full on Honda product. It did/does use a Honda trans too.

Hard to decide. But I think this section is the hardest.
It is 2nd and 3rd I do believe.

Working on section #2 for 1st and 4th.

The S10 and Hombre had several differences like the grille, headlights, fenders, bedsides and the rear bumper trim. The Passport was really identical to the Rodeo besides the emblems. Iirc, even the grille was the same?

I believe the Pup was simply an Isuzu. I never really kept after the little furrin trucks though.
