Has anyone designed their own complete replacement A/C system? I’m looking at some inexpensive compressor/Condensers and making my own hoses. Wondering if anyone has done this before I start experimenting!

Thanks!

Like, making your own firewall evaporator box and underdash box/doors/all that? Why?

Or you're talking about adapting aftermarket compressor/condenser/custom lines to the factory firewall stuff?

I just pulled an almost new A/C compressor off my '87 R10 305 engine, and will be listing it here soon. I won't be running air, and have all the brackets (just need to round up a non-A/C bracket to support the bottom of the power steering pump).
