89 3/4 Ton conversion consideration

I'm just wondering, what are you doing with your burb that makes you need 3/4T suspension? The reason I ask is because it's not easy to physically carry enough in a Suburban to need the extra capacity beyond a 1/2T. If you're towing, well, that's a different direction looking at brakes, transmission, cooling, and gears. If you actually carry a lot in the burb, you could put on some overload airbags and be done with it. Brakes can be upgraded without swapping axles, so I'm just wondering if this is more of a conversion you want to do just because you have the parts or what?. Not trying to talk you into or out of anything, inquiring minds just wanna know what's your motivation?

Iirc and I think there was a post on here about it. Its the same issue as the pickups. Being the single sheer point for the upper mounts. They tend to flex or something which causes the frame to end up cracking. But, and this is going off memory so I could be wrong. The burbs upper mounts are harder to fix because they are closer to the body, or something like that. Fabbing up a double sheer bracket for those positions might be enough.

ORD sells double sheer brackets but only for the pickups for some reason.

Vince @TubeTruck had built a bracket for the rear shock mount that looks pretty good. It's in the thread Restomod 4x4 Suburban?

There is something I didn't think about, but a friend pointed out, I won't be able to run a 15" wheel anymore with the conversion, will I?
