Engine has been running well since the rag was removed. It has been experiencing a fluctuating idle. Found a vacuum leak where the HVAC actuator feed line passes through the fire wall. The original plastic line has become brittle on the engine side of the firewall. Replaced about a foot worth of the plastic line, a bit on side of the firewall. So far so good.

*Fuel pump EP381
*Fuel tank GM11C for an 87 model. Has fuel pump baffle.
*Drivers side fuel pick up/sending unit FG05M
*Fuel filter PF-1000
*Fuel filter adapter 800-170
*3/8 and 5/16 fuel injection hose

BTW. I am only running the one tank on the drivers side.

Can you go into more detail on how you wired this? I have the sending unit and pump in my garage. The tank and tank straps are coming later this week. Is the grey wire power for the pump? Purple power for sending unit? Are both grounded through the black wire with the ring terminal? Any source for the matching repair connector?

Grey wire is pump power.
Purple wire is sending unit.
Black ground goes to frame.

Believe the connector is a Delphi weather pack.

I have one made by Pyle that I fit on a non square body truck to assist the wife while connecting her camper. This unit is wireless, the screen is the size of a cell phone and camera mount to the license plate bracket. It's ok, but only used for the above mentioned task. Probably paid $100 ish . Simple install

They're great as long as you have a good screen solution. I have been eyeballing a camera that has a rear view mirror screen like the 2007+ GM trucks and vans had.

I like the idea of having the screen in the mirror. That way there is not a need to mount a screen. I was also considering a camera that pairs with my phone since I already have a mount for my on the dash. Still thinking .

77 has been running great. Well over 30k on it now. 57 was returned to by brother Memorial Day, he was very pleased with the work that had been done. Still hope to get it back from him one day.

Blower motor quit working on high. I found that the 3 pin connector going to the blower motor relay had melted. I replaced the relay and the connector, fan now works fine. I did open the old relay and found that it had a bad connection on the coil.

Found a puddle of oil under the 77 the other morning, found that the oil pressure switch I used for the day time drive lights was leaking. PS98 switch changed out today along with a fresh oil change.

Changed out steering gear today. Original was leaking and getting loose. The remanded steering gear is from Red Head. The rag joint was shot and changed out as well. Just need to finish bleeding it. Ran out of PS fluid, so I will finish up tomorrow.

Gear box bled. Drives completely different. Never realized just how bad the old gear box was.
