Ok so I’m alright with that was there any reason to run the gasket?
You think that was shim too or for vibrations?

Do I need these? Only had two
And the weird gasket between the cab and the plates?

Probably ran out of metal shims or tried to get rid of a squeak.

Nice score at the boneyard!

Lol, I like the painting tree.

The plastic thing is a deflector to keep water and stuff out of the intake tube.
Ahh ok thanks
I guess seeing as how I have an LS engine I could remove that from the core support

Wire wheeled the frame painted it some gloss black
Replaced the core support from a 78

Got the horns off it too since mine were missing
New poly body mount bushings
Some
New grade 8 mounting bolts too

Starting to look a little better
