I have a 1980 c10 2wd with a 3 on the tree. I was having some issues shifting between gears, and ended up breaking the shifter tube/housing (see pictures).

Finding a replacement part for this is impossible online. Even finding a replacement steering column with a 3 on the tree is difficult.

Any ideas on where to look for rare parts like this, such as brokers, junk yards, etc?

Any ideas on how to possibly repair the part, such as welding? The part seems to be cast, possibly cast aluminum.

My memory is foggy on this one, but I believe that part of the column is the same as an automatic column?

It's crazy that a 3 on the tree column is so hard to find now. They must have been the first trucks to hit the scrap pile.

What does it interface with underneath the outer shell? Mine hasn't broken like in the photo, but wobbles everywhere while shifting.
