id sacrifice some mpg for balls out HP. Ill pay the extra $10 at the pump for way more power and response. i advance timing as much as itll handle with my carb/intake/cam/exhaust combo...

My stuff has ALWAYS got the same mileage or BETTER with the timing advanced. I've never lost MPG by advancing the timing.
