This makes me wonder how @Arkansas_V8 's tcase repair held up...
Well... Ya see, I was gonna be a gentleman and let Him have this adapter, then we both realized, it's a no go. This is a 700/208 adapter.
He needs a th400/208 adapter

I never went back to a follow up, but I did the head gaskets, got it all buttoned back up, seemed to be a premature failure... Water jacket broke over into the head gasket, not the other way.
Anyway, truck runs well, I have 5 brand new all terrains for the 89 burb, so soon its time to get the suburban underway with getting it on the road, and taking the s10 off.

I also want to add, the tire sheered the lug studs off, and I lost a tire on Christmas day.
That was nice.

But the truck is running again.

When I did the head gaskets, I took the starter out, it's easier to take the starter without a tire, (the solenoid wire was part of the harness I was trying to move out of the way)

I put the tire back on, hand tightened the lug nuts, never torqued them.

Its my own fault.
Crazy thing is I drove like that for a week

Oops ,better have another Miller High Life after that one!!!
Buddy.... I had ONE good lug stud (it was the same lug stud I didn't have a lug nut for) , I bolted it up, drove it home like that, went to my parents for the pre Christmas gathering, took a mighty dose of goldshalger with my dad, we went to my grandfathers (he's a walk away) drank a 12 pack and several 40's, boy, I was destroyed in Christmas.

That means.... If a np208 will work, a 90-91 np241 will work, now I just need to find one

Goes without saying, anyone reading this, I need a np241 from a 90-91 burb or blazer.

Ever seen the inline VSS adapters used for like TPI swaps and stuff? I wonder if one of those would work. I have no idea what pulse per mile your stock VSS likes to see, but I bet that info is easy to obtain.

I have not.
I thought about cannibalizing my s10's t case for the vss and fitting it up to the np208 somehow, but I'm interested in what you're talking about.

Edit: not the vss, but the reluctor ring and sensor out of the t case in the s10
