Woo, what a ****** weekend!
Started out, i added fluid to my front diff, put a plug in.
Check.
Bought 12 quarts of atf started it pour 4 in saturday....
Found a leak at the t case...
Removed it, RTV'ed it, reinstalled.
Next day, return to adding fluid....
Then a new leak appears... At the TCM Plug on the trans.... i could take pliars and tug on it leak would stop....
Battery was dead asf, i jumped it, fired truck up, truck wouldnt move...... ok.... went to put in park, gears ground? (Weird at the time)
No fix in sight... so i went to oreilly got a new big collection pan, a large funnel with a fine mesh strainer... came back, pulled the pan, collected about 4 quarts (from the pan)
My battery was under warranty, so i got it replaced.
Get home, install the new battery..
Slide back under the s10, pull the pan, Pulled the accumulator, solenoid, pulled the TCM plug from the trans body....
Cleaned it a little, inspected it... wasnt sure what was up? Had the o ring... everyrhing was fine...
Stick it back in the trans body, it clicked, and snapped in?!?! Wouldnt pop back out....
**** my life... what a dope... i didnt pop it in all the way when i rebuilt it...
Put everything back together, poured fluid in again,
Hop in my girl, fire it up, jerk it in gear.... nothing, go back to park... grinds gears...... at that point it began to rain... i hung my head and quit for the night... facing defeat
Hop in the shower, im thinking to myself , what did i do wrong??
Then it hit me..... the grinding from reverse to park..... BAM!
the t case was in neutral....
Throw my clothes on.. go outside, throw the case in 4 hi, hop in, turn it on, shift to reverse

SHE MOVES!
Got it fast enough to reach 3rd gear.... AND i have a live front axle!
