1984 k10 crossmember question??

I have a 1984 k10 frame that I’m redoing. Not sure which trans to go with either the th400 or the 700r4 , this being said does anyone know an aftermarket trans crossmember that would work? Leaning towards the 700r4 just because of the over drive but they claim the 400 is bullet proof

Not correct.

This one works but you have to have a 208 or other. I used one on my last project. If your going the direction of the 700/400 it should be fine.

I've got 2 aftermarket crossmembers & they're both SM465/NP205 apps. They are made different SO I'm not certain if they're manufactured or homemade.

That's basically a copy of the '85-'86 style crossmember, although I'm betting it's not as likely to bend if it gets hung up on something.

I see it now, thanks. With the dark gray background I didn’t notice the link.

The Tejas crossmember will only work with a short foot adapter, the OP’s ‘84 should have a tall adapter.

I have 2 of the shorts in my stash, they are common and both came off 700r4’s.
