    New master on old booster

Ok. I wasn't sure if it would physically bolt on or not. I want to get a 2002ish master that is disc/disc

    New master on old booster

Anyone done it on a hydraboost? I've seen the posts about using the corvette masters for rear disc brake conversion but I'm assuming this is for vacuum boosters. Are the new and old bore sizes the same? Bolt pattern?

I'm liking it. I don't blame you for going with a 205. I've got the 203 and I want to swap. Not only for the strength but I've heard they don't make the chains for them anymore. So once it's gone, it's gone. I'm going to swap mine when I put my 4L80e and keep the front half of the 203 for a...

    LS swap

Price all depends on where you live. My buddy in MA picks up 6.0l's, with harness and computer, for $500 all day while out here in IL they are $1500 just for the engine. Best bet is to find a wrecked truck and swap everything over. That way you can pick everything you need.

    Dually axle options

Chevy used the 8x6.5 bolt pattern until 2010. In 2011 then went metric and now it's 8x180mm. I forget which years but I want to say NBS-ish they went to a 14mmx1.5mm lug.

    Dually axle options

I swapped in a 14 bolt out of a 2002 2500hd. Just a matter of cutting the old perches and shock mounts off and welding on new ones.

We got a guy here at work who commutes about 70 miles 1 way. In the 4 years I've worked here he's had 3 cars, all totaled by racoons lol The last car he had was a Chevy Volt. It broke through the lower part of the bumper and went through the radiator. What a mess! His stories are hilarious

Engine Mount Bolts (The ones that bolt to the frame)

Mine are a 3/8" bolt. Not sure of the length. There's 3 and they go in the slotted holes. I believe my bolts are factory and have a flanged head with flanged nuts. It's pretty tight in there so you might have to use a bolt with a washer under the locknut.

Lets talk front driveshaft drive angles with the SM465, np205 & 10bolt corporate axle

I had one truck where they were between the frame and crossmember and my Suburban has them in the frame. No idea where the factory put them. I would think inside the frame like my Suburban would be correct.

Lets talk front driveshaft drive angles with the SM465, np205 & 10bolt corporate axle

Does your crossmember have spacers? I know all the Squarebodies that I have had have spacers in the C channel of the frame. I've swapped them down between the frame and crossmember. Probably not ideal but see if that helps. You might get a little more upwards angle off the T-case but it might...

Strength of 3 inch C channel???

Provided you bridged the seam after welding it, and your welds had enough penetration, I think you should be fine. Am I correct to remember that @Paladin is a welder/fabricator? He might be able to shed more light on this than I.

Yip, $700 dropped out of a truck around here. At least that one looks rebuilt, or just cleaned. I'm going with the 4L80e and have a figure 8 205 but ORD makes an adapter for that.

Anyone have any leads on those 3/4 14 bolt axles for 200 bucks for a set?

I paid $200 for my disc brake 14b ff and $50 for my 10 bolt front, both with 4.11s

Roadster Shop is about an hour from me and I would love to go check them out sometime. They just released this: https://www.google.com/amp/s/gmauthority.com/blog/2020/11/roadster-shop-introduces-new-chassis-for-k5-blazer/amp/

You should be good with the mounting. Your 208 should have the long input mated to the 465 and given the pic it looks like the 205 has the long input. As far as the adapters is have to make an educated guess. I know the early trucks used a drop down crossmember and a long foot on the adapter...

What new tools have you got lately?

Had a new rear driveshaft made and the guy seemed impressed that I knew what a 1310 and 1410 u-joint was so he gave me this.
