Yip, $700 dropped out of a truck around here. At least that one looks rebuilt, or just cleaned.

I'm going with the 4L80e and have a figure 8 205 but ORD makes an adapter for that.

It's a round pattern 205. They are spendy.

Guess prices vary... they once upon a time could be had for 2-300$ here.

The case is rebuilt.Took the rear output out and had a look. It’s ready. The man was kind enough to give me that adapter.Feeling pretty blessed at the moment.

I really appreciate everyone’s info.

Thank you!

PS,the 900 was a bit steep, but once he threw in the adapter....feel like it was a good deal.

You need this also! ORD Twin shifters makes it so much easier to get into and out of gear!

Looks good!I am thinking of going with the twin stick set up....I wanted to get away from the power sleeve and the old 10 spline input.

32spline set up

t case looks good to me. I have the ORD twin sticks on my 205, it's really great. Was money well spent.

This is definitely a expensive upgrade, but I think well worth it.The 208 is working well, but one day I might decide to take this a bit more extreme and will have the pieces in place. It would have been so much easier to go with the old 10 spline set up.A brand new 4 speed from Novak was definitely the deciding factor!

Got the shift set up and working well!Waiting on the adapter gaskets from Torque King.If no one has heard of them, they are the most involved suppliers I’ve seen for the 205

I'm with you... that's more than I spent for my whole truck, with a 205 from the factory.

I'm liking it. I don't blame you for going with a 205. I've got the 203 and I want to swap. Not only for the strength but I've heard they don't make the chains for them anymore. So once it's gone, it's gone. I'm going to swap mine when I put my 4L80e and keep the front half of the 203 for a doubler when I build a wheeler.

I had a 77’ with a 203 and it was a great truck.Had a 400 and a heavy duty 44 up front. It did very well in the sand.I never broke that truck. The only issue I had was the caps on the front hubs. Finally,my step dad machined some for me.We drilled them tapped them using set screws. No more losing caps.

Ya,I was once a rock guy and from that, seen what works and what doesn’t.Splines are good and the more the better.Parts are getting expensive.I was part of the movement early on when you could get a non running 1 ton with all the good stuff for a couple hundred.Unless you find a farmer or someone that don’t know what they’ve got, your gonna pay.A rebuilt case from offroad design is 1500-1600$

The popularity of off-roading has expanded and also,a lot of people make a living slanging truck parts. For instance,I have to drive 3-4 hrs just to find a decent salvage yard.

And for the fellas that think I over paid, that’s ok,I’m not rich, but looking at a gear vendors possibly.I like nice ****.Won’t ever have to buy a 205 again, most likely.
