    Gave away my LS

Holley Terminator ECM is hard to beat for simplicity, they even sell kits with prebuilt harnesses. I think all you need beyond that is air & water plumbing, a fuel pump and relay to run it.

    Door Conduit-Retainer

I have them... My doors already had the holes because they were from a Suburban with power everything. My cab had a few small dimples that lined up perfectly for drilling the center hole and screw holes. I cant find a good picture of it installed but here is what the holes look like. ETA...

What are these parts called, and where can I find them?

Yeah, i get it. My column cover had broken mounting tabs, I ended up sanding it real nice and epoxied it to the other piece before repainting. Hopefully it holds up tearing a column down that far is a PIA, thats like one of the first pieces to go on. Take your time and do it once if at all...

What are these parts called, and where can I find them?

What’s wrong with the plastic wire channel? Looks fine to me, especially for a part that is never seen after assembly.

What are these parts called, and where can I find them?

I had a hard time finding this when I was looking, seems like the only one I found is this one: https://www.classicparts.com/1973-87-Steering-Column-to-Floor-Seal/productinfo/40%2D221/

    Rear-end shot

I thought the same thing until I noticed the piece of steel the same width of the hole sticking out near the bottom.

    Rear-end shot

Probably gonna need a new cover, that one is easily repairable though. But really, it would be helpful if you removed the cover so the damage can be assessed...

    Engine spinning backward when killed?

LOL... I managed to stall a toyota truck on a steep hill out hunting one day. Before I knew it I had stabbed the clutch in just the wrong timing to end up push starting the truck while it rolled backwards. Damn thing fired up and ran that way, sucker had five reverse gears and a forward gear...

What new tools have you got lately?

I absolutely love Benchmark products, Dad got turned onto them through an Ebay purchase & we've been buying direct ever since. Their cut off wheels last longer than anything you can buy at a hardware store and their flap disks are every bit as good as DeWalt, or Forney. We ordered rolls of the...

What new tools have you got lately?

That's a rad cab dolly! Here's an affordable light weight option... A few 2x4's and a 4x4 left over from a project, few dozen deck screws, and 4 bolts. It would be easy to bolt a few casters on it if needed We sat it up on a table to make bodywork a little easier.

Patch Panel or Metal Fabrication ?

I just posted my opinion on welders but we’re you asking about the spot weld cutter? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/brc-11096 We’ve got one like this and a cheaper on from the same brand, the cheap one is junk The $40ish dollar one works much better

Patch Panel or Metal Fabrication ?

^^^^ This is probably the best advice for most people. The Walmart or Tractor Store 110v units are good enough for sheet metal and exhaust work, and I would not bother with one that’s not capable of running shielding gas. Flux core wire is okay when nothing else is available or when you’re...

Patch Panel or Metal Fabrication ?

I think I paid like $29 each for AMD cab corners… worth their weight in gold. Using prefabbed parts was quite a job, I’m sure if I would have made my own it would have cost me several days worth of work and required more body filler. I haven’t used the bed patch panels but I wouldn’t hesitate...

    Bulkhead wiring ..HELP ..1976 K10

Looks like it used to be there…. It is not uncommon for the power leads coming into the bulkhead to burn up where they connect to the fuse box. The spade terminal or receptacle basically melt out. How’s about a picture of the other side of the plug showing the pins and a picture of where it...

How to add cruise to truck built without?

Not sure what all is needed to do it with factory parts except the Servo box and cable, but Dakota Digital sells complete kits for about $400

    Tail light questions

^^^^ This is the first thing that came to mind. Seems like the 90’s DeVille tail lights were getting put in everything when I was a kid.

    Mark IV 454 Engine Build

The reality is any change you make will be a trade between reliability, efficiency and performance that old clapped out big block might not have much life left in it. If you want low end torque just put a stockish cam back in it & leave the manifolds alone. An "RPM" intake is baby high rise...

    Rally wheels

I bought a pair of rear 4x4 caps from the GMC dealer in like 1998 or so and I thought they were plastic even back then. I'm going to have to get them out and check now.

Ethanol Free Or Premium Or Either

That's good to know... Last time my MS441 magnum needed a gas line it was a PIA breaking it down that far, I'll make sure it gets a green one next time.

Ignition lock cylinder won’t come out

Good luck Sir, my column didn't look the same but is a little newer than yours. When the guy said he had to knock out a piece of aluminum with a punch I was expecting it to be one of those guys on youtube that has no clue, but it seemed legit so I shared it.

Ethanol Free Or Premium Or Either

Ethanol gets some weird parasite in it that gums stuff up if it sits too long. Leave gas with ethanol in your lawn mower (any small engine) too long and it grows green crap in the carb. Nothing like the varnish old gas used to cause.

Ignition lock cylinder won’t come out

I think there are different styles of the retention screw, IIRC mine was here below the cylinder. (not my picture) Also the video I linked above shows the guy knock out a hole in the column and manually depress a spring loaded latch. I didn't need to do that on mine, mine was just like you...
