Will These wheels work?

I did finally find somewhere on the internet that the front track on the 8 lug is about 2.5 inches wider than the 6 lug. So those rims should work because they will have more tie rod clearance. I am probably going to go with 16s because I am trying to do this right but as cheap as possible. The set of 16s I was looking at are about $315 for the set shipped from summit. and the tires I am getting mounted balanced are about $800 which are 315 75 16 (equivalent of 1 35 12.50 16). Also I like more rubber than rim. Too much rim in my opinion just doesnt look very good. But now I know why skysurfer has much more clearance than I do even with his 4.25 inch backspacing.

My tire/rim combo has the same specs. I like it and if I had to do it over I'd get the same thing.

Truck tires seem to be getting very expensive, especially the larger the rims size.

I just bought a pair of retreads in 245/75/16 10 ply that are on Goodyear Wrangler casings. $256.00 with shipping. They have a good reputation , too bad they don't have any highway rib retreads for fronts !

Skysurfer with the 315 75 16 s and the 4.25 inch back spacing did you have to trim any fenders? And are the wheels 16x8s?

Yeah, they're 16 x 8's. Didn't trim the fenders but I did bevel cut the front edge of my running boards so the front flaps are pulled back at 45 degrees. Something most of you wouldn't have to do but I needed to keep the steps for little people.

I do a lot of offroad driving but it's not hard core wheeling. There's some ditches I always cross at an angle that twist up the suspension pretty good. If I go through too fast the front tire will make light contact but that's because I'm usually carrying 2000-3000 pounds of people and gear. When I'm just running around by myself or pulling the boat it never touches.

I hate to bother you again sky surfer but do you have any pics with your wheels and tires? Also what brand tires do you have?

If you click on my user name you can see the album in the public profile which has some pics of my truck. If they're not close enough for detail I can add some tomorrow. Tires are Pro Comp All Terrain. Tread pattern is quiet on the street, I can't stand tires that drone on the highway.

Ok so I don't know if I just don't know what im doing but I did not find anything that says anything about an album. Here is what my screen looks like. there is nothing else above or below the edges of the screen.
