I have done front springs and rear shackle so about 2-2.5" would like to go more and try to avoid a c notch but not totally against it. I was thinking spindles (if they're ever in stock) but not sure how to approach the rear, would like to keep some ability to tow.

The rear you can do a couple of different ways. I did my R20 burb with leaf springs in the rear from Western Chassis. My R1500 Burb was done via flip kit with helper bags. Neither required c-notch. You can take a look at both via the links in my sig.

Can you confirm which kit you used? Any issues with steering or alignment problems?

@Old77 curious as well, what kit specifically? Are the r2500 suburbans the same lowering kit as a c20? Recently purchased this 1990 r2500 and looking to install a 3/4 drop as well.

Love the look of yours! I’m finding it’s kind of odd having a tail end of the square body era truck and hard to confirm what does and doesn’t fit.

Wasn't a kit. Was all from Western Chassis but was Spindle and spring up front and leaf spring in back, as stated previously.

Yes, R2500 can use the same components as C20. The parts I bought were in the R2500 suburban section of their site at the time. It's been a few years, tho, so they may have changed things on their site by now.

Tile floor in a shop? Fancy!

The wheels look good too! What color are you going with? Imho, gray looks pretty good with that creme color paint.

Yessir! The family that owns our shop likes to make them nice!

I’m going with white coating and reusing the dog bowl caps.

@Old77 thank you. I couldn’t find one on their site specifically for the r2500. That helps a lot.
R2500/R3500/C20/C30 are going to interchange parts and I'd encourage not looking for a complete kit but to mix and match for soemthing that will more closely match what you wanna do. And the truck stuff will interchange with burb stuff.

Link to a kit...
