What ya'll think of these new wheels/tires? I dig em. Any shock suggestions?

So I got the new Vision wheels and BFG tires on last night. For reference, I have a 2" Rancho lift, the factory tires were 265/65/16 on 16 x 7 wheels. The OD diameter measured 31 inches.

The new BFG's are 285/70/17 and measure exactly 33 inches OD. The wheels are Vision Ojos in 17 x 9 with 4.5 backspacing. I learned that they make these tires in different load ratings. Choosing a lower load rating makes them ride smoother at the cost of haul/tow capacity. I rarely haul/tow so I opted for the lower class. It also changes max inflation PSI from 80 to 50. I'm always learning something. I also got a set of Gorilla brand lugnuts. I love the "splined" nuts over the traditional hex style. The included socket doubles as a theft prevention cause if you ain't got it, you ain't getting them off. lol

I really like the look now. It seems more proportional and fills up the wheelwells with plenty of clearance between the Dana 60 brake calipers and fenders. This weekend I'll pull them back off and paint the hubs with matching dark gray paint I mixed up. Next and almost final step is replacing the shocks. I'm looking for quality shocks to finish things off. Not Fox quality but looking into Bilstein. Suggestions on that endeavor are welcome.

And BTW, I'm going to paint the rear bumper the same matching gray, an update over the factory Argent Silver. See how everything ties together?

Big improvement, great choices. I did something similar but went with 20s, Goodyear Wranglers. I also need to make shock decision, still unsure; I like to buy sale items so I will pull the trigger when the right deal reveals itself.

Looks fantastic! I like the old wheels too, but you definitely didn't go wrong with the new ones.

I've been using those splined Gorilla lugnuts since 2008. They are simply awesome and the best lugnuts I've ever used. They are extremely durable (actually durable enough to fix fouled up threads on a wheel stud) and the finish holds up very well too, even the chrome ones.

Your springs are pretty flat upon closer inspection, so I guess the tire would move forward during bump because of the shackle swing. The picture is deceiving it looks like it would hit at full lock.

The rear is fine. For the front I'd have to pop the center of the cap out to clear the dana 60 hubs. Then I'd have the logo on the back only so I prefer to just not use them. After stripping and painting the hubs, I like the exposed look.

I have the same issue with my Outlaws - kind of thinking about making a cap or something for the fronts so I could use a (custom) 4x4 logo.

That open look is pretty badass by itself. All the black lugs really looks good.

Nice looking set of wheels. I would have done white letters out just to break of the blackness of the tires. Definitely look nice though. Nice choice.

I actually color matched the hubs with the wheels. A can of Rust-Oleum Smoke Gray and just kept darkening it with black. In person, the color is almost exact.
