I got a $150 Harbor Freight gift card for Christmas, and the week or so after I went and got these tools for about $130. A few things I wanted but never bought for years. Well I was looking for the picture I took but I can't find it. I got an impact screwdriver, huge set of Doyle channel locks, metric S wrenches, a 3/8 and 1/2 socket set one of those cheaper ones to put in my tool box I take with me to my farm when I go or on road trips. Long handled standard wrenches, and several things I can't remember.

Then a few weeks back I got a Vacuum gauge from there and I can't forget the last thing I got from there.

I am not a professional mechanic but I do a lot of work on my stuff. The recent HF tools in the last 5 years or so are really good to me. I have stuff I have used pretty hard for years now and am very happy with them. I will say their wrenches seem a tad shorter than higher quality ones. But I double wrench if I need the leverage or now I have both sets of long handled box/open wrenches. I have offset box wrenches that I used but the offset didn't allow into tighter spaces.

I'm going to buy the 5 drawer US General rolling tool cart from HF. I have one of the first generation US General just black tool boxes. And the drawer slides are worn out and a few don't close well. I think they have slides there I could replace it with. But that box is getting cramped. Cause I keep stuff besides tools in it like we all do. Junk fastener drawer, things like o ring kits, cotter kits, etc. This one I got maybe 9 years or so ago maybe more. The quality on the current General boxes is way better than the one I have. I'm not saying I got screwed on this one. It was like $188 for the 3 pieces of it. And I will still keep it for those odds and ends like I mentioned before and keep the tools I use 75% of the time in the tool cart and keep duplicates and stuff not used as often in the old box, like oil change wrenches, and kits and random junk drawer stuff like fasteners hose clamps I have put there, fuel line etc.

Every review big the current tool carts has been good I have seen. Seen many pros that have those crmarts and have had them in use a few years.

Seen the new craze.....top creepers. What about using one of those collapsible folding ladders? I could use the ladder for other stuff around the house, be great to lay my gut on to get to the back of the engine. Same price if not less. Amazon pic below:

The guy that gave it away free as he bought a new one with his stimulus check!
That's who needs them, so we can all scavenge stuff for free.

Nice press.
It came from a tire and auto center that my brother works at and Apparently the Toyota wheel bearings are really hard to get a part in this part of the country so they ordered a 60 ton press to replace it, good for me.

I got a bit of safety gear also. I was using a 4 inch grinder with a thin cut off wheel, and I guess I put it in a bit of a bind. Cut off wheel blow apart, and part of the wheel got stuck in the cheapy HF face shield. I say cheapy because it was like 6 bucks on sale. I will say the HF face shield did do it's job, and the chuck of cut off wheel didn't hit my chin, and teeth. I will replace the plastic shield part next time I'm at HF, or a welding supply shop, and than just use it when I use a grinding flap. Use this one when I'm cutting with a cutting disc.

I posted about this a while back. Work schedule has kept me from playing with it much. It’s sweet to be able to adjust the hydraulic in-feed rollers. I dial it to where it chew the tree up just in time to gather more material. Here’s a quick video of me putting a tree through it.
